Carsland and Minnie!

Of course, we spent 90% of our time in Carsland, where else?  The line was so long for Radiator Springs Racers we got a fast pass for 8:30 at night!  Charlie was too short to go on it and it was the most popular ride in the entire park by far.  Will and I went back later one our own in the almost darkness and we still waited a half hour in the fast pass line!
It was worth it, it was awesome and we won our race, the most important part to you, ha!

We went to Goofy's Kitchen restaurant by our hotel for dinner the second night.  We celebrated your birthday that night at the character dining dinner.  It was super fun!  Charlie was obsessed with Minnie, following her around everywhere.  Every time the characters came out there was a big announcement and everyone would swing their napkins around in the air.  Such fun.

 Happy Birthday Will!!!

We went to Disneyland for Will's 6th!

The way we came to have a trip to Disney is a bit of a long story.  See, Grandma came to visit us this March and it was our intention to send you boys back with her for a week.  She had so many fun things planned for you both.  Then I would go back for a weekend and pick you up, bringing you back home.  But then Great-Grandpa had a bout in the hospital and picked up C Diff which is contagious.  After a little research and thought we decided it was just too risky to send you back to Oakville.  But we had these flights that would go to waste...so Grandma and I decided to change them to LA!
You were both super excited, and the adults were too!

This was the most fun.  We waited to see Lightening McQueen and he and Charlie had the best conversation!  When we walked up he said "Look who came to visit?!"  and Char said "Kachow!" and Lightening said "COOL!" and "Kachow!" back.  It was awesome!

Such a fun time at the Midway.

The Cat in the Hat

My patient Brent is part of musical theatre in Port Alberni and when he told me he was in the Cat in the Hat we bought tickets right away.  Daddy was on call that weekend so we took Lia and it was super fun :)

We discovered BMX

This March we discovered what I think is going to be big in our household: BMX.  Will tried going around the track a few times after school in the rainy season.  Whenever we had a chance when the sun was out we went down and practiced the hills.  The starting gate was challenging at first and each time we went we tried to start you out a little bit higher until one day you could start at the gate!
You were really inspired by the bug boys that dropped by too!
One day we brought Charlie on his strider bike and he loved it too!

Look at how little you look!
In April, practices started on Wednesday and races on Sundays.
Charlie is doing the half track and has won every race he's ever been in.  Will has come in 2nd, 3rd and crashed both times.  That last race is cursed!
You were ok and we have really beefed up your protective gear now...

Whistler with the Tatras!

For the Family Day long weekend we went to Whistler with the Tatra family.  We stayed at the Pan Pacific and had a fantastic suite there.
We had front row seats from the hot tub for the Fire and Ice show Sunday night, what fun!

Will and the Tatra boys did lessons every day and Charlie and Mom and Dad went tubing.  One day Charlie went to the day care and the adults got a full day out on the hill.  Mommy had never seen anything like this mountain, it was mind-blowing!  Different levels/areas of skiing??  In Ontario the base of the mountain WAS the mountain!

Charlie loves tubing!

While Will did his ski lesson with his friends Dad and I took you tubing and it was oh so much fun!

We got all bundled up and there were smiles all around.

 Weeeeeee!

A funny conversation with Will (about my uterus)

Today we were watching the news and on screen was a very pregnant weather lady.  That led to questions about when I was pregnant and I showed Will this picture.  He gawked at it first and then I told him about how it was hard to be so big and have Charlie in my tummy.  Will said "he wasn't in your tummy, he was in your uterus."  It was my turn to gawk!  Turns out sex ed in kindergarten is quite comprehensive.
