Your new bubble mower!

This toy is a big hit! It is a little lawn mower "just like daddy's" and blows bubbles out the top while you push it. You loved it so much the first time you tried it you would just take off down the sidewalk so fast we'd have to chase you!
You love it so much. Who knew $20 could buy such glee?
Now you say "mow lawn, mow lawn" and go on your merry way.

Your big Booboo

You took these self-portraits yourself on Grandma's camera. This big booboo was caused by a fall on the driveway. You have taken to running full tilt but your little feet just can't keep up at times. You are still a little clumsy and when you fell the other day on the driveway, the concrete was unforgiving :(

Your nose and lip bled and bled and it looks really awful. You cried when it first happened but you don't seem bothered by it at all anymore. It is healing up now but I am really worried it might scar?? Time will tell but we're hoping for the best. I know these things will happen but it is so hard to see you go through these bumps and bruises. Poor baby boy, stay safe!

Our garden

When we bought our house we loved it inside and out. Mommy spent the first few months sprucing up the inside of the house and now that it's spring it's time to spend some time working on the outside too. Once we started working it became clear how much work there was to do! The previous owners used this house as their weekend home and apparently never did yardwork, so we have three years of catching up to do! With Grandma's help, Mommy has grown quite a green thumb!

Our first project was this front flower bed:

We spent a day clearing out the old leaves and top layer of dirt and then we went shopping! We bought 3 new nesting spruces (such an amazing bright green colour) and 6 new rhododendrons (4 white and 2 pink for some colour). The rhodos are great because I love the blooms and they are deer-proof, so they're perfect for out front.

Loooking good!

Beban Park

Beban Park is such a fun place, you love it. There is this digger that you always spend the most time at. You like to work the controls, lifting buckets of dirt and then dumping them. Sometimes you get frustrated with it and we try to help you but you yell "WILL DO IT!"
Then you try on your own and say "HELP! HELP!" and then we try to help again only to be met with protests that you want to do it yourself, repeat...
Oh Will.

You also like to ride in the "helicop-per"

What a sweet face.

How could you not love this park with all the cars and motorcycles and helicopters to ride?!

Riding on the big pink bus

You and Grandma ran into this big pink bus and since you are OBSESSED with anything that goes this was a real treat!
The bus driver was so nice that you got to sit in the captain's seat and everything.

You can almost see over the steering wheel ;)

You love the rides at the mall

Whenever we go to Woodgrove mall we make a necessary pit stop at the rides. There is a little merry-go-round, a pink bus, a helicopter and a horse right now. The rides cost a dollar (didn't they used to be cheaper??) and we seldom make them go but you are quite happy just sitting on them. I think this pink bus is your favourite.

You cannot go to the mall without visiting these rides. Mommy now parks at an alternate mall entrance if there are any errands that need to be done and 20 minutes can't be spared, otherwise there is a huge tantrum to deal with!

Grandma's here!

Grandma came from Toronto to spend the spring months of May and June with us. We picked her up at the airport on May 15th and you guys have been spending so much time together playing at the park and all sorts of things!
This is at our old stomping ground Oliver Woods.

Rocks and sticks are always highly sought after items. On this day Grandma told us that you found a stick and spent A LONG TIME just whacking it on the ground, at weeds, at whatever you could find. Hey whatever amuses you...

Oh and glasses are also extremely popular right now. Of course Mommy bought you your own pair of shades but you seem to be drawn to everyone else's only.
