The Mickey 200 - Oh Boy!

One of our family highlights of a Disney Cruise is the Mickey 200.  We would check the Navigator every night to see if the Mickey 200 was scheduled for the next day and would plan our day around it.  We got there super early this year and there was already a line but we got in!
The team come out and explained the rules but we already knew them, please!  And then the Cooper Cruisers got to work!

Checking that the wheels fit in the track:

We know that heavy things go fastest so we tried to use as much of the carrot and potato as possible.  We made a Mickey shape on the top of our Cruiser!

 Counting down to the start:
We won race after race as we were paired up with different opponents and made it to the final 2!

You were super stoked every time our car crossed the finish line first!  So glad I captured this moment!

In the end we were paired up against another little boy whose family must have been onto the whole weight thing as well.  They literally stuck the wheels into the sides of the potato and attached the full carrot to the top.  Even the team leaders commented that it looked like not one cut had been made!  No points for originality...and every time their car smashed into the finish the carrot flew five feet into the air and they had to rehab the car with smaller and smaller toothpicks.  Not right!

Anyways, it sure was a close race and we sure tried our best.  When the final two went up for the final race the team leader asked the other little boy if he had anything to say to you (his opponent) and he said nothing.  So she commented "Hmm, the silent treatment hey?"  You were jumping up and down with excitement the whole time (you may have had to pee) and there was a cheering section for you in the back that yelled "Go Cooper Cruiser!"  Then you to: "Did you think you would make it this far?"  You said "Yes."  She said "It's getting real awkward up here."
Ha!
In the end we finished second and they gave you a medal for originality but mostly because you were just so darned worked up about it and you loved it regardless.
Such fun!

 Awesome!
