We hired a local company called West Van Isle Marine to come out and do some improvements to the dock this summer. It was badly in need of refinishing. I called originally a nice man called Evan answered, the owner of the company. He said he would be pleased to come out and have a look at the dock. When I gave him the address he was in shock since it was his dad Art's place. He basically grew up in our cottage and knew the property inside and out. He was a lovely man and took me around the property showing me where their tire swing was and where they had their campfires and a little about the great times they had there. It was so nice to get a little history about the cottage and we are very pleased with how the dock turned out. We are looking forward to spending a lot of time out here from now on!
