Tummy Time!

We've been working on your tummy time for a while now and all that work has paid off!  Look at how high you can hold your head!
Look at that sweet little face :)

Bath time!

We have tried a bath with the both you of a few times now.  I wish I could say it always goes well, but this situation can definitely be dicey!  Mommy and Daddy have to keep a very close eye on you Will to make sure that you are doing gentle splashes and that you are not too rough.  So far, no disasters and Charlie just loves being in the tub so much.  Charlie kicks his legs and Will joins in, however one of you makes bigger splashes...

Will can ride a bike!

You continued to surprise us yesterday when after swimming lessons you rode your bike on your own for the first time!  We have been working on it for weeks but you would never let us fully let go of you/the bike and ride alone.  Today was the day!  September 17th, at not even three and half you rode on your own and fully confidently!  What a guy!
We burned up the card video taping you, that is a moment we have captured forever!  Way to go Will Henry!

Otters Swim Lessons

Well we know that you love the water so Daddy and I are keen on making you the best swimmer possible.  You are going to be surrounded by water your whole life so we want to get an early start.
You love going to the Beban Pool and you are great in your lessons.  This series of lessons is different in that you are on your own in the water with the teacher and other children.  All four of us were there so Mommy, Daddy and Charlie cheered you on from the sidelines.
Right now you are a little apprehensive about putting your face in the water.  This is so surprising to us since you are so confident in the water!  You don't even hesitate when jumping into the lake or pool.  But I suppose it is a new environment and it makes you nervous.
Wesley, your teacher, said that you need to practice blowing your bubbles.
We practiced all week in the tub at bath time and you protested and protested and told me you were scared so we dropped it.  Then during class....you did it no problem!  Mommy and Daddy learned a lesson from this ;)
You were so proud of yourself in class you hollered across the pool "Mommy!!  I put my face in the water!!"  HAHAHAHA!
I gave you the thumbs up and you got back to your lesson!

The Cooper Boys!

Just wanted to snap a pic of my favourite boys before school and work.  Love you guys!

Baby Charlie is almost 3 months!

Charlie is such a sweet little baby.  He is so mild tempered and calm and we just love him so much.  He does love to be carried and will often fuss when we put him down but he also does long stretches on his play mat swatting at Mortimer the Moose and friends to let the rest of us eat dinner.
Daddy has been really watching what he eats lately and boy is it ever noticeable.  I can really see it in his face now.  Way to go Daddy!
We have spent almost every weekend up at the cottage since the August long weekend this year.  We are into Mid-September and the good weather is going strong!  It has been warm enough to jump into the lake even now, with temperatures in the 30 plus range!  It really drops at night and we have to bundle up in bed though!
Daddy has been working so hard to finish up the projects in the cottage and we couldn't be more proud of him.  When we take a break we like to go into town and try out the local eateries.  This is one of our favourites, Bare Bones.  The fish and chips are delish!

Will's First Day of Junior Kindergarten!

I know that everyone says this but I really can't believe you are in JK3 this year!  Where did the time go??
It is even more startling to me how grown up you look in your little uniform.  Like a real little man!
On September 7th, the first Tuesday of September Mommy and Daddy both took you in to Aspengrove to be there for your very first day and to walk you in together.  It was an easy transition really since you had been at the school for a year and a half now and are familiar with the teachers and rooms.  But you still knew that something was different, that this day was special.  I suppose you picked up on our excitement and were a little apprehensive when we dropped you off but you did just fine once we left as they always tell us.

 My little man!
After dropping you off Mommy went and did a few errands and then came back to the school to be there for your first day whole school assembly.  I was so excited to watch you walk into the gym with your classmates looking so big.  You sat with you friends right at the front for a little while but soon couldn't stand it any longer and came to stand with me.  The teachers had said this was ok so we went with it.
Mrs Fitzgerald made a short speech and part of it was to welcome all the new kids and parents to the school.  There were such rounds of applause for us and such a wonderful spirit from all of the faculty and parents alike, it was very heart warming and welcoming.
You were assigned you school house at the assembly, we are Arbutus House!  Charlie will also be in this house and we will all do our best over the years to rack up as many points as possible!  Oh and Finn is also in Arbutus which is perfect since you two seem to be best buds at school :)
Happy first day of school big boy!  You made me so proud and I know it will be only one event of many!
