Aaron's Second Birthday Party!

This weekend we headed down to Victoria on the Sunday to celebrate Aaron WIlliamson's Second Birthday! The Williamsons have three boys so we knew there would be some activities you would love and our instincts were right! They sure know how to throw an active boys' party!

They rented out the Henderson Rec Centre in Oak Bay for the event and there were ride on toys and bouncy castles galore! At one point all the boys got onto cars and had a little Nascar race! When you couldn't get to the front of the line you circled back and hit the frontrunner head-on, haha! You clearly have a competitive streak because you are always asking Daddy to have a race with you and when he does and you lag behind you come crying and sobbing into the kitchen about it!

It was a great opportunity for Mommy and Daddy to catch up with the adults too. The Tatras, Hopkins' and Williamsons' of course were there and so we got to see everyone in one trip which was great!

Andrea's birthday party and meeting Quinn

This weekend we went to the Parry's house for a surprise birthday party for Andrea and look who showed up! The newest Lindblad girl was there and slept the whole time so her mommy could have some chats with us :)
You are really curious about babies right now so it was just perfect. Cute!
She is such a miracle baby and we couldn't be happier for Dave and Devon!

First Whistler Trip! (for Mommy too)

After the big hockey game we headed up to Whistler for the weekend and got some great weather while we were there. Of course, Mommy is very pregnant right now so Daddy was the only one hitting the slopes but you and he went tubing when we first got there and you went down on your very own this time and loved it! Daddy said he was really nervous that you were going to be freaked out by the speed and being on your own but he said that much to his shock you were laughing all the way down! This just clinches our hunch that you are a born speed-demon, dare-devil. Or as you say "Speed Beaver." Not sure how that came to be or what it means. We think you mean speed-demon but that is what you scream when you are running laps around the kitchen island.
It was warm enough outside in February for us to sit out for lunch on the Saturday and eat with Adam and his gf Ashleigh. It was lots of fun eating out and watching you stomp on the snow a little ways off while we ate ;)
I really regret not having more pictures of our first trip up there, but I know there will be many more opportunities in the future. Since we're going to have another boy in the family soon I'm sure we'll be leading a very active lifestyle.
You were absolutely dying to get out there on skiis. When we got into the car to drive up to Whistler you said "what's this white thing?" and we told you it's Daddy's snowboard. You said "where's my ski board?"
So all weekend you dragged us into stores in the village to buy you a "ski board." You were so adamant we had to take skiis down and set you on them to try them out and we basically had to drag you out the store. I guess you're going to be a skiier/snowbaorder....

Your first NHL Game!

We went to see the Canucks play at Rogers Arena a few weeks back and you got to see your first NHL game live! Daddy was also very excited since they were playing the Detroit Redwings, or in our house the "good guys." You were really good at the game, let Daddy enjoy himself too, and you were very interested in the large tub of popcorn we got you. Of course, we were all wearing the wrong colours, but it was hard for people to hold it against us when we had a two year old with us, haha!

We made a sign for you to bring to the game thinking that we might get onto the big screen...we didn't but still created quite a stir. When we went up to have our picture taken rinkside with your sign we got a round of applause, and these two girls approached us between periods to ask to have their picture taken with you! They just thought you were the cutest thing ever, as you are!

What a great night had by all! And the Good Guys won in an OT shootout!!!!
